Eerie, vast, unforgiving, Namibia's deserts and rugged plains are mind-blowingly beautiful. Days see the desert glow orange while night is silent and silver. Desert elephant and black rhino are some of the creatures to survive in this inhospitable wilderness, while shipwrecks on the Skeleton Coast tell tales of swirling mists and shifting sands. Take to the air to experience these dramatic landscapes from above and witness one of the most remote and inaccessible places on earth.
Etosha National Park
Dominated by a vast chalky salt pan, Namibia’s most famous national park is a must. Elephant, giraffe, lion and rhino are in residence – as well as cheetah and leopard.
Damaraland
With a dramatic mountain backdrop, this rough, rocky desert is dotted with red boulders and euphorbia bushes. Spot the elusive desert rhino here as well as giraffe and ostriches.
Koakaveld
In Namibia’s far north live the nomadic Himba people, who roam along the Angolan border through rugged mountains, sand dunes and along the Kunene River.
Skeleton Coast
You’ll feel like you’ve reached the end of the earth in this desolate coastal wilderness dotted with shipwrecks and seal colonies. Staggeringly beautiful and seriously remote.
Sossusvlei
Some of Nambia’s most spectacular scenery is found in the Namib Naukluft National Park, where giraffe and oryx roam across a backdrop of huge red sand dunes. Simply stunning.
Fish River Canyon
More superlative scenery at the Fish River Canyon, the world’s second largest and every bit as impressive as the Grand Canyon (only smaller!). We can fly you in on a day trip from Sossusvlei.
Luderitz
This diamond port is the gateway to visiting Kolmanskop, a coastal ghost town swallowed by sands.
